Creating and managing Prospects
Prospects are Prudentia's lightweight assessment tool for the Search & Evaluation team. They're designed for early-stage triage of new opportunities. Prospects are typically based on non-confidential information and require only a single document upload to get started.
Where prospects fit in the workflow
Prospects sit at the top of the deal funnel. They provide a rapid, standardized view of an asset based on publicly available information, enough to decide whether it warrants a deeper look
Viewing your Prospects
To see all active Prospects, navigate to the Prospect section using the left navigation bar. The Prospect Landing Page displays a list of all Prospects in your workspace, including their name, category, and current status. From here you can open any existing Prospect or create a new one.
Creating a new Prospect
From the Prospect Landing Page, click the New Prospect button. A prompt will appear asking for three pieces of information:
- Company name. Enter the name of the company associated with the asset you are evaluating
- Category. Select the category that best describes the asset or company (e.g., Pharma, Biotech)
- Upload a file. Upload the source document for this Prospect. This is typically a company deck, investor presentation, or asset overview in PowerPoint or PDF format. File size limit is 100MB maximum. Supported formats are .pptx, .pdf
Once submitted, Prudentia will process the uploaded document and generate a Prospect summary. This typically takes only a few minutes.
Note: Prospects are designed to work with non-confidential materials — a pitch deck, conference abstract, or publicly available overview document is the typical input. For assets where you have access to a full data room, consider starting an Assessment instead.
Viewing a Prospect summary
To open a Prospect, click on its name from the Prospect Landing Page. The Prospect Overview page presents a structured summary generated by Prudentia based on the document you uploaded. The summary is organized into standardized sections covering the company overview, key highlights, lead programs, data readouts, investment considerations, and market opportunity.
The information presented is a static snapshot based on the document at the time of upload. If the source document is updated or a newer version is available, you will need to create a new Prospect with the updated file.
